Sharon's Story: Enteritis

I’m a sixty-three-year-old woman splitting my time between Cohasset, MA and Delray Beach, FL. I have recently retired from a wonderful career as a training facilitator and motivational speaker. My four (with a fifth on the way) grandchildren bring me joy and keep me busy. As an author of two books, I love to write and am now working on a mixed media play.

I had never had any digestive system complications until one night three months ago.    I woke up suddenly, violently throwing up and then diarrhea. I thought it was a twenty-four-hour bug. Three days later I was buckled over in pain and my stomach was distended as if I was seven months pregnant. I went to the hospital. I could barely walk. My pain threshold was, on a 1-10 scale, between 7 and 10. I couldn’t eat anything. I was sipping Gatorade.

After some tests, the doctors were not sure if I had gastrointestinal enteritis or if there was blockage which would require surgery. I was taking pain killers every four hours and it wasn’t helping. The thought of surgery really scared me. Also, this was happening in Massachusetts when the state was one of the top three COVID 19 hotspots. They decided to put me on antibiotics and see what happens.

I did have some positive progress and after an Xray they determined there was no blockage. I was sent home, “to get better.” Weeks passed and I was still in pain and bloated. Simple tasks like getting out of bed, making a meal and getting dressed, were a huge challenge. I was losing weight I didn’t need to lose. I was afraid I would never be healthy again. My sister had worked with Russell Mariani to solve a serious digestive system disorder and she encouraged me to call him. Thank goodness I did.

Russell assured me he could help me get back to my healthy self again. He explained to me how an episode of food poisoning had altered the balances of the bacterial microorganisms in my intestines and that this condition of imbalance (called intestinal dysbiosis) was the source or cause of all my symptoms. He then went on to explain what I would need to do to get better.

I agreed to let Russell guide me through his program. Once I completed the first round of remedies, the bloating had gone down quite a bit and the pain was down to a 3 or 4. This took a few weeks. Since then, I have been following Russell’s recommendations and, so grateful to say, I am one hundred percent back to my healthy self! No negative or uncomfortable symptoms at all. Everything functioning normally, just like before.

Russell was encouraging, informative and right by my side during the entire recovery process. He monitors daily progress, accepts calls and responds to changes with solutions. Once you start working with Russell, you are not alone. I have recommended him to anyone I meet who suffers from any digestive complications. Thank goodness for Russell!
